My first Ariat purchase was the Monteray Bay Clog which I immediatly wore non-stop for three days in San Francisco; up hill, down hill and all around. With jeans or black evening slacks and black trouser socks, the clogs eliminated the need for any other shoe on that trip. In deciding about comforting walking sandals, I turned again to Ariat and was as delighted with the comfort and appearance of the sandal as I was with the clog.
Ariat's leather and overall construction is excellent.
If one has a high arch, Ariat provides great support, but unlike Dansko which is also good for high arches, Ariat permits the wearer the flexibility where the support will be on the foot.
