I have never worn Birkenstocks and never cared to UNTIL NOW with the new Madrid. Even my 18 year old daughter likes them and she frowns upon many of my things. I have always known they were of great quality, but the style is not me. Due to foot surgery I was forced to get a really good sandal. I checked Birkenstock hesitantly and then saw the Red Madrid Birko-Flor in Elle magazine. I was sold. They are precious and sooo comfortable!!! I bought another as a gift and will buy more for myself in another color.
I still can't believe I'm wearing Birkenstocks and actually excited about them, but I am. Perfect for the beach and walking downtown in our hot and humid weather.
