When I first got these slides, the uppers did not seem to be made of a very durable material. But, I wear them every day around the house, use them as shower shoes, occassionally to the grocery store, and have even taken them camping. They are still as nice looking as when I first got them. And, they are so comfy to put on at the end of the day after wearing "regular" shoes. The soles are not nubs, which I stayed away from after reading reviews that spoke of the discomfort and how the nubs fall off.
