I know, who can expect a "perfect" summer sandal these days? Without forking over the multiple c-notes clergeries go for, that is. I scored these on sale, and I'm happy with them for ~$25. They're a good medium width and the leather straps are soft so they'll stretch some to accommodate a wider front ball of the foot. Pro: the black and tan-brown combo is great, but con: the platform-wedge sole is a bit wobbly and definitely clompy-sounding (it says it's manmade and not wood, but it sounds the same). Pro: straps are smooth leather lined with suede which makes for a comfy feel, but con: the underlining black suede rubs its blackness onto your tootsies which is a pain if you're as pale as I am. Overall it's a decent shoe if you grab it on sale, but it's not one I'd take with me on vacation where I only had a single pair of shoes, if you know what I mean.

Seychelles Women's Mysterious Stranger SandalProduct Description: Retro and modern, classic and distinctive, fun and modest...the Mysterious Stranger platform from Seychelles has it all. The strappy leather upper is ruched, for an extra touch of trend-driven sassiness to go with the all-wood platform, but the thickly-padded insole will help keep you comfy, so the focus can be on you, and your knockout style.
