I am glad I read the other reviews about the sizing. I nearly always take a 7 1/2 and ordered a size 7 which fits. The shoe underneath is marked European 38 which is also a bit 'off' as the US 7 1/2 translates to a European 37 1/2. It is a teensie bit smaller than a 7 1/2 would usually be but the next size up would definately have been too large. The pearlized/metallic plastic ring near the front is a nice touch but it did have some unevenness at first which rubbed against one toe. I took a nailfile and filled off the little roughness on the edge and that took care of that.
The shoe itself is very lightweight but not unstable. The footpadding makes them extremely comfortable and at this price it is hard to beat for everyday summer sandals.
My only quibble is that the shoe is 100%manmade materials (as labelled on the bottom of the shoe) and not leather as I had expected from the Amazon description. This did upset me a bit at first but the white straps are so soft and comfortable that it doesn't really make any difference. It may actually be better than leather as leather this thin would most likely stretch horribly over time.
Overall these are pretty comfortable and cute. I even ordered a second pair as a reserve (living in Florida, white/cream shoes are nearly always ok to wear at least 9 months of the year).
As many of the fashion magazines and dept stores are featuring wedge shoes for summer, they are not only comfy & a great bargain, they are even 'in style'.
