I purchased these because my favorite, beloved black leather sandals are falling apart, and I am going on a cruise in July. I needed new sandals that were cute, yet functional, and could multitask with a summer dress or just touristy tripping around the Parthenon. These seemed to fit the bill, and Amazon had them on sale! Sold. I was a little less sure when they showed up. The back strap and the trim on the wedge are patent leather, which means you're just asking for scuffs and nicks- plus, it's kind of cheesy. Minus one star.
On the other hand, the cork footbed is nice and cushiony and comfy, and the metal ornamentation would elevate them from lounging in a deck chair to the Captain's Breakfast. They're solid, and the incline on the wedge isn't extreme, making them easy to walk in. The back strap wasn't irritating to my heels, which is a first!
Oh, and P.S.: The style does look better with shorts and short dresses than with long skirts or pants.
