Review of Jessica Bennett Women's Henley Sandal

I snagged these in silver for a steal of a price (<$40!), and I'm so happy I did! these are beautifully feminine shoes and they go w/so many of my dressy outfits. HOWEVER, I had problems at first getting blisters on my next-to-little toes: this is partly b/c 1) my toes are a bit oddly shaped there, and 2) these shoes seem to run slightly large. I bought these in a 7.5M (my normal shoe size), and I had to insert toe cushions and heel grip strips (I like Foot Petals) to keep them from slipping around on my feet. also, it's not easy to tell from the pictures provided here, but the heel and instep (around the brand insert, which is smooth) are heavily textured. this isn't a problem on the heel itself and makes for a very pretty effect -- this shoe is a lovely blend of classic femininity and modern elegance -- but on the instep the texturing is quite uncomfortable; toe cushions do alleviate the discomfort, but it felt rather like walking on mesh and would wear the poor balls of my feet and my toes nearly raw before I added the toe cushions. aside from the fact that these shoes would be practically unwearable w/o Foot Petals in them to adjust fit and comfort, that was a quick and relatively inexpensive fix, so I'm quite happy w/these beautiful sandals, esp at the bargain price I paid! :)
