These shoes ... are so cute.Really, when you get them, they look better than they do in the picture.I got the pair shown, but in black with gold straps.I think they're just awesome looking.That's where the excitement ends, though.I'm a size 8 1/2 shoe but often in sandals, I have to wear a 9 because of the way the straps rub on my feet.From other Havaianas reviews, I knew the sandals run a little large but a lot of people also said that they fit different feet ... well, differently.I ordered a size 7/8 just to be safe and was blown away ... they are HUGE!!!I didn't get the 8/9 because I feared they would be too big; I was not expecting the 7/8 to be that way.There is so much extra room in the back that they are not only very "floppy" when I walk, but they cause me to clench my toes around the strap, in fear the shoe is going to come off, which then hurts my toes.
I'm not going to return them because I can still wear them to clean out the pond or wear as a shoe to throw on when I take the puppy out (around the house stuff), but I won't order this shoe again without going about TWO sizes down.Consider that before you make your purchase.If you're actually an 8/9, get a 6/7, unless you like wearing shoes that have too much room and feel as if they're going to slide off.
